Using one folder for transfer is a good idea, once the main part is solved.
With VMWare, I would just copy a file from Finder and paste it to Windows File Explorer and vice versa. I don’t like the way it is now I would prefer to keep them separate. That was not true when I used VMWare and Windows on my old Mac. The user files appear to be mapped, as I can see all my files that I’ve done on the Mac side in Windows File Explorer. #Parallels update not installing install
Is there any way to turn the mapping off? I don’t know how, but that would be awesome, especially since the other potential solution of getting the CC app to install on my “network” is beyond my control and will probably never happen. I installed Windows a few months ago when I was working on an Audition project with another ACP and needed to have it for that project. Why do I need Windows now? Because of the way Acrobat differs on Mac and Windows, especially with Office. But when OpenType came out, I dropped Windows (was that CS2 or CS3?) and have become less and less proficient in it over time. When I install Windows using Bootcamp, I usually have to run the Bootcamp app that installs all the drivers, however in Parallels I have. #Parallels update not installing windows 7
I used to be an expert in DOS and even in Windows, starting with the 2.0 text-driven version. Hey, So I just used the Parallels Desktop application for the Mac to install Windows 7 from an ISO, and the installation went fine, however Im wondering if I have to install any drivers. Jeff, this sounds like what I need to do, but I need better steps. I tried the desktop and it was the same - it’s also on the “network”.
